The following types of hides are available for various garment use and are described below. All hides are supplied in uncut condition and priced per square foot. Quantity discounts are indicated in minimum bundle volumes. Special job lots are offered on discontinued colors or special purchases.

Lambskin:
Skins average 6-8 square feet each, with bundles consisting of 12 skins. Full grains available in both smooth and texture. Colors and Finish range from natural to enamel. Typically used for handbags, bomber jackets and ladies fashion dress. Note: As these skins are young sheep, they are limited in size and very soft and supple. As this skin is very tender , they are not as suitable for application where wear and strength are required, i.e.: upholstery or men’s work garments.

Piccarri Suede:
Pigskin suede available in both split double suede and full grain suede in a thin 1-1 ½ oz weight. Split double suede skins average 6-8 square feet and are the second layer of the hide. Grain texture is more distinct, revealing the typical hair root dots than the full grain layer. Full grain skins average 10-15 square feet and are finer textured, stronger and more supple. This layer is smooth one side with suede reverse side. Ideal ladies fashion dress and western wear material. Easy to sew on home sewing machines.

Pigskin prints on suede or grain side available in a variety of patterns and average 10-15 square feet. These full grain skins are also available in smooth metallic and designer metallic patterns. Ideal use for high fashion accenting, costume dress and jewelry accessories.

Cowhide Fashion Garment:
Light weight cowhide full grain sides in 1-1.5oz thickness. These half hides average 18-22 sq. ft. and are available in a variety of colors and finishes. Ideal ladies fashion skins for skirts, handbags, jackets and western wear. Light and strong enough in weight to sew on home sewing machines with minimal cutting loss due to size of the skins.

Cowhide Lambtouch Nappa:
Available in 1.5 - 2oz weight averaging 25-35 square feet in half hides black only. Also now available in full hides 2-3 oz, average 40-50 sq ft. These sides are very supple and ideal for ladies and men's fashion garment use. These skins have the soft feel of lambskin with the strength and size of cowhide. Also used in lightweight upholstery application where a soft , loose, pillowy effect is required.

Cowhide Club Jacket / Chap Garment 2 ½-3oz / Light Upholstery:
Full grain cowhide side leather averaging 18-25 square feet each in various grade selections. Garment grade will have some brands, barbwire marks or holes. Chap selection is brand free with minimal grain defects or holes in the primary area. Bundle quantities consisting of 10 sides averaging 200-250 sq.ft. Available in standard colors as used in the handbag, team sports club jacket, rodeo chaps, motorcycle leathers, general utility garment and light upholstery leather. Colors available include: Black, Grey, White, Burgundy, Royal, Scarlet Red, Beige, Sunset Orange, Hunter Green, and Walnut brown.

Cowhide Deertan Natural Garment 2 ½ -3 oz / Rustic Upholstery:
Full grain cowhide side leather averaging 20-25 sq ft in natural finish. This leather is nude in finish and soft. As it has very little if any finish it is more sensitive to staining or moisture absorption. Used primarily in rustic look or natural buckskin look applications such as moccasin, buckskin jackets, gloves and log furniture upholstery. Available in 2 tones of natural gold deerskin color and black. Grade selection is dependant on number of brands, grain imperfections, scratches or holes. 

Note for USA customers: this leather is often substituted for deerskin orders as it looks and feels similar . As it is of Cowhide and not Wild Game origin, there is no inspection requirements by U.S. Fish and Wildlife.
